According to Football Insider, Man United could sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo for £80 million.
Arsenal attempted to sign Caicedo in January but their £70m offer was rejected by The Seagulls in the closing days of the winter transfer window.
Football Insider reveals that Arsenal’s interest in Caicedo is not over yet – while Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool are also open to signing the Ecuador international this summer. Clubs’ negotiations with Caicedo are not delayed by the midfielder’s new contract at Brighton – which runs until June 2027.
Man United are in need of strengthening midfield and Caicedo is the ideal addition to Erik ten Hag’s squad. The Red Devils also have an advantage in this race when the 21-year-old once affirmed his dream of playing at Old Trafford.
With Caicedo’s brilliance, Brighton are now headed for their best season ever. Caicedo currently earns a salary of £60,000 a week at Amex Stadium and if he went to Man United, he could receive at least double this amount.
