Alejandro Garnacho has enjoyed an explosive season at Manchester United and was rewarded with a recent long-term contract. Despite playing for Spain at youth level, Garnacho has decided to play for Argentina at the national team level.

Garnacho’s agent, Enrique de Lucas, has criticized the Spanish Football Federation for its handling of the 18-year-old’s case.
“I think Spain has an internal problem and they can’t hide it. The Spanish Federation is very poorly managed. I think Garnacho is not the only case where they lose with a dual player.
Garnacho decided to play for Argentina because he really felt the connection. Garnacho did not find it difficult to make this decision. When the opportunity opens up, imagine playing with a team like Argentina, with his mother’s blood that he has felt since he was a child, it’s a blessing, not a problem.”
Garnacho just returned from injury and immediately scored a goal for Man United. In 16 Premier League appearances this season, Garnacho has contributed three goals and two assists. Garnacho’s next challenge is to rise to become a regular starter in the first team for Man United.
