In an effort to improve the strength of the defense in the new season, Arsenal club have kept an eye on Ajax’s 2001-born star, Jurrien Timber.
According to exclusive news from journalist David Ornstein, Arsenal club is in talks to bring in defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax club.
It is known that the Gunners have sent the first offer worth 30 million pounds. But Ajax quickly refused because they wanted the amount of £ 50 million because Timber still had two years left on his contract.

Jurrien Timber is 1m82 tall and can play flexibly between central defenders and right-backs. The Dutchman can also take on the role of a defensive midfielder.
According to Sam Dean, Arsenal have been looking for a versatile defender who can transform into a midfield position when needed and Jurrien Timber has been at the top of the list for weeks.
Perhaps his versatility as well as his rich playing experience at a very young age is the reason why Edu and Mikel Arteta decided to promote this deal.
He is considered to be an important player in the way the Gunners play the game. Coach Arteta is now looking to add a versatile player like Zinchenko on the opposite wing.
In addition to Arsenal, currently MU is also a team that wants to get the service of this defender. The Red Devils held talks with Ajax last year about a potential deal for the 21-year-old. At that time, the Dutch side asked for a transfer fee of 50 million euros (£43 million), but MU did not accept to pay that amount.
