The website of Tottenham Hotspur Club recently announced the official dismissal of Cristian Stellini from the position of interim coach.
Tottenham announces the sacking of Cristian Stellini
A statement on the London club’s homepage read: “Tottenham announces that Stellini is no longer the coach of the first team. Ryan Mason will take over the club until the end of the season. Best of luck to Stellini and his associates in the future.”
The decision was made after Tottenham were easily defeated by Newcastle with a score of 1-6 in the 32nd round of the Premier League. It was a match that Chairman Daniel Levy considered unacceptable.
“The players, the coach, the board of directors and even myself have to take responsibility. Anyway, I would also like to thank Stellini and his associates for their professionalism. I wish him good health.”

Mr. Stellini has only taken over the temporary management of the team after coach Antonio Conte left the team on March 26. Thus, less than a month into the hot seat position, Stellini also suffered the same situation with his predecessor coach.
In the last 4 matches, Stellini only helped Tottenham win one victory against Brighton, the rest was a draw and 2 losses. Ryan Mason, who is working as an assistant to coach Cristian Stellini, is only 31 years old this year and will have the second time becoming the interim coach of “Rooster”.
Ryan Mason helped Tottenham to attend the 2021 Carabao Cup final, but had to receive defeat before the class and experience of Pep Guardiola.
Tottenham are in danger of losing their chance to qualify for the Champions League. After a disappointing defeat to Newcastle, they are currently ranked 5th, 6 points behind Man Utd’s 4th place and have played more than 2 matches.
On April 28, “Rooster” will have the opportunity to close the gap with the Champions League group when there is a clash with this opponent at home.
