According to The Times, the Qatari side has not given up on its intention to acquire Man Utd at this time.

The British press confirmed, the US owner has chosen Ratcliffe and Ineos as their preferred partners and an official announcement could come ‘in a few days’.
Joel and Avram do not want to sell their shares outright and will remain part of the ownership group at Man United. However, the Qatar side did not accept defeat.
Specifically, according to The Times, Sheikh Jassim and his delegation could respond with a more compelling offer to convince the Glazers to reconsider.
Any new bid would need to get close to the £6 billion mark, while it remains to be seen whether Joel and Avram are willing to give up their stake. However, a flip is entirely possible.
The Daily Mail also revealed that the Qatari side believes they are still “steadfast in the game” and continue to negotiate over the takeover, and will take further actions even though the deadline has passed.
