Coach Erik Ten Hag still needs Victor Lindelof and is determined not to let MU sell the Swedish midfielder in the summer transfer window of 2023.
Lindelof’s future at MU is guaranteed
Last season, Lindelof was not often used at MU. There are many doubts that MU will liquidate the Swedish midfielder this summer.
Not long ago, Frankfurt asked MU about the case of the player born in 1995. But coach Erik Ten Hag himself had an impact to prevent this deal from happening.
Specifically, the Dutch strategist frankly spoke to the board of directors about the fact that Lindelof is still in his plan next season. Coach Ten Hag is concerned that if the number 2 midfielder leaves, MU will spend the transfer budget to add a new central defender. But the problem is that the central defender is not MU’s priority in the summer transfer window.
Thus, it can be affirmed that Lindelof’s future at Old Trafford is still guaranteed. The contract between him and the Red Devils expires in June next year. The 28-year-old’s performances next season will determine if he gets a contract extension.
With Lindelof staying at MU, it’s almost certain that Maguire will leave. There have been many teams asking to borrow the English midfielder. However, the Red Devils just want to sell Maguire instead of loaning it out.
