Scholes compares Casemiro to Roy Keane after Barca win

Paul Scholes paid tribute to Casemiro after the match against Barca, calling the player like a copy of Roy Keane.

Casemiro has impressed quickly since joining United from Real Madrid last summer. The Brazilian made 31 appearances and became one of Ten Hag’s most important players at Manchester United.

Many eyes of suspicion appeared when Man United spent up to 70 million pounds to recruit Casemiro. There are concerns that Casemiro will drop in form when he has to play in a new environment like the Premier League.

However, Casemiro showed the class of a top player in the world. He is helping Man United compete in all competitions this season.

“Casemiro has been very impressive. He has a lot of experience, won so much glory with Real Madrid. Those are valuable things for the younger players in the squad.

It feels like he’s a coach on the pitch. You can see the difference when he comes into the team and what he does. I think he hasn’t been credited enough with the way he plays. This is a very good passer and it surprises me, especially when you think that Modric and Kroos are the ball players at Real Madrid.

I have heard many times that Casemiro is probably the best holding midfielder. I don’t see him as a holding midfielder. This is a standard Man United midfielder who always rushes into everything. You see him going forward, you see him defending and you see him controlling the game.

This is the closest Roy Keane player you can get. I think he played really well. To say he is a ‘staying midfielder’ is a bit unfair.”

In the match against Barca, Casemiro also played well and prevented some dangerous situations with Man United’s goal. With a fit Casemiro, MU can completely think of winning the Carabao Cup this weekend.
