Sabitzer was impressed by MU’s competitive spirit
Last night, MU came back up against Fulham with a 3-1 victory, thereby putting his name in the 2022/23 FA Cup semi-finals. Midfielder Marcel Sabitzer contributed 1 goal, making a great contribution to helping the Reds win the match.
This is also the first goal of the Austrian midfielder since moving to MU on loan from Bayern Munich in the winter transfer window. After the match against Fulham, Sabitzer could not hide his joy.
The player born in 1994 admitted that he was especially impressed with the fighting spirit of the Old Trafford team. Sabitzer shared:
“I think we played well in the first half. We created some chances and missed it. But after the first half we conceded and that’s not what we wanted.
We knew at the time it was going to be very difficult. But we still believe in ourselves, thereby showing our fighting spirit and good mentality. The enthusiastic cheering of the fans created the motivation for us to have a comeback.
You can see and feel the great fighting spirit of MU. That is something to be proud of. We are united on and off the field. We stick together all the time. We’re very happy about that.”
