Replacing David de Gea is MU’s number 1 priority

Gary Neville believes it’s time for MU to replace David de Gea, he also insists the current squad cannot help the Red Devils win big titles.

David de Gea has won the Premier League’s Golden Glove award this season, but a number of unforgivable mistakes have put his future in big question. Coach Erik ten Hag cannot guarantee the Spaniard will be the first choice next season.

The contract of the player born in 1990 at Old Trafford will expire on June 30, MU is negotiating with De Gea about a new contract, but they force him to reduce his salary. The negotiation process is still going on, and if the problems in the new contract cannot be resolved, the former Atletico star will leave on a free transfer.

Neville advised MU to find a replacement for David de Gea

MU legend – Roy Keane criticized De Gea after the FA final against Man City, saying he needed to do better on Ilkay Gundogan’s second goal. The latest, Gary Neville believes that it is time for MU to replace David de Gea with a new name. I said:

“The position of the striker and the goalkeeper is really important for a team, if you don’t fix those two positions, you will have a big problem. MU is having great difficulty especially up front but it is time for them to get a top goalkeeper. The FA Cup final speaks for itself.”

“I don’t want to talk about it too much but City’s second goal should not have appeared. The fact is, David de Gea has had a fantastic career at United, he’s a great goalkeeper. But now is the time when he needs a new challenge and MU needs a more stable goalkeeper.”

“MU also needs new signings, the current squad cannot help the Red Devils win big titles.”
