Speaking before the match against Wolves, coach Erik ten Hag confirmed that midfielder Raphael Varane has recovered from his injury and is ready to play.
Center-back Raphael Varane was injured in the 2-2 draw between MU and Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League 2022/23 at Old Trafford. He was substituted after the break, the French player suffered an Achilles injury. The former Real Madrid star is currently recovering from an injury.
According to the Mirror, the French player will miss the rest of the season due to an injury. However, in recent times, the recovery of the star born in 1993 has gone very well. Before the match against West Ham, when asked about Varane’s situation, coach Erik ten Hag said:
“I think Raphael Varane is like Scott McTominay, they are very close to returning to play. However, the game against West Ham, he was not present. Varane is recovering well. I hope he plays a few games at the end of the season.”
Recently, speaking before the match with Wolves, the Dutch teacher confirmed that Varane has recovered from his injury and is ready to play. “Rapha Varane is back, we are happy that he can train normally and can play, it is an important return,” he said.
Despite welcoming the return of Varane, MU received sad news from Marcus Rashford. The star born in 1997 suffered a leg injury, when asked about the problem that his students had, coach Ten Hag added: “Rashford has a problem, a leg injury, so his ability to play is first. Wolves are still open.”
