Tottenham Hotspur’s official website confirms James Maddison has completed a £40m move to Spurs from relegated Leicester City.
Thus, James Maddison became Spurs’ third signing of the summer, along with Dejan Kulusevski and Guglielmo Vicario. The 26-year-old will be the Rooster’s man for the next five years.

Newcastle are also interested in signing Maddison, with the English midfielder only a year left on his Leicester contract, but Tottenham are the fastest team. And the northeastern club has instead turned its focus to AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali.
Strengthening Tottenham ‘s midfield options is a priority ahead of Ange Postecoglou’s first season. And Tottenham have a reason to target a player of Maddison’s quality.
The 26-year-old midfielder joined the London club after five years at the King Power Stadium, where he played 203 matches and scored 55 goals. Maddison won the FA Cup and Community Shield while at Leicester, and also scored 10 Premier League goals in his final season for the Foxes, although they were relegated.
