A few hours ago, the homepage of the Tottenham Hotspur club announced the completion of the Guglielmo Vicario deal . The Italian goalkeeper arrived at the Rooster from Empoli.
Vicario put pen to paper on a five-year contract, which lasts until 2028. Vicario will wear the number 13 shirt at Tottenham .
Vicario was born in Udine, Italy. He started his career with the Bearzi youth team. In August 2013, Vicario joined the Udinese youth team. In the 2014/2015 season, Vicario played for Fontanafredda club on loan.
In August 2015, Vicario joined Venezia, making 89 appearances in all competitions, keeping 28 clean sheets. In the 2018/2019 season, the Italian goalkeeper made a great contribution to helping the home team to be promoted to Serie B and win the Italian 3rd division.
After 4 years with Venice, Vicario joined Cagliari in July 2019. In July 2021, the 26-year-old goalkeeper joined Empoli on loan. A year later, Empoli decided to buy Vicario outright.
