After many years of attachment, the English talent has officially left Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
This summer, Manchester United is conducting a comprehensive purge of the force. Obviously, not only the stars in the first team, but many young talents also have to walk through the door to leave Old Trafford.
Recently, the Birmingham City homepage announced that they have officially successfully recruited Ethan Laird from Man Utd, for an undisclosed fee. Last season, the English talent played for Queens Park Rangers on loan and made a total of 33 appearances in all competitions, being rated as one of the brightest right-backs in the Championship.
Sticking with Man Utd since the age of 10, this deal will end the more than decade-long association between Laird and the Red Devils. Discussing his decision to join Birmingham City , Laird said:
“It feels great. I feel like this move is really important to me, this is where I get to express myself and not really think about anything else.”
“This is a new step, a new path and I’m excited to start at this club.”
