According to The Athletic, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi will play an important role in Sheikh Jassim’s acquisition of Man Utd.
This week, Sheikh Jassim sent out a fifth offer to the Glazer family, but it still fell short of what American owners expected.

As revealed by The Athletic, Sheikh Jassim initially consulted with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG in terms of valuation, when the Glazer family wanted £6.4 billion
Sheikh Jassim’s heavyweight opponent in this deal is Britain’s second-richest billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. According to the press, this billionaire has a slight advantage when he accepts to retain 20% of the shares in Man Utd for the Glazer family.
Meanwhile, Qatar Sports Investment Fund (QSI) is ambitious to expand its investment portfolio. Besides owning 100% of the shares of PSG, QSI also owns 21.67% of the shares of Braga club in Portugal.
They also want to invest in a football team in South America. Accordingly, QSI is considering the possibility of acquiring the giant of Brazilian football, Santos. They even asked Santos President Andres Rueda to research the possibility before making an offer, as revealed by Globo newspaper. Reportedly, Neymar’s father was the mediator in this potential takeover.
