Man Utd stunned McTominay

According to TalkSPORT, midfielder Scott McTominay is no longer in the plans of Manchester United next season.

Scott McTominay has been a first-team player for the past six years, since his breakthrough under Jose Mourinho in 2017. McTominay came to the academy as a striker but developed into a box-to midfielder. -box.

While starting regularly under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the 26-year-old began to struggle  when Erik ten Hag appeared.

McTominay still made 39 appearances in all competitions last season but ranked behind the likes of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes in order of preference.

Man Utd ready to sell McTominay outright.

Ten Hag has been intent on selling a midfielder this summer and it is thought to be Fred. However, TalkSPORT claims McTominay was also told he could leave and be free to find a new home.

Newcastle have long been interested in McTomiany but it remains to be seen whether United will consider selling to a direct competitor as this team ranked just below them last season.

David Moyes admires his compatriot and United may even be looking to put McTominay in a player-cash deal in exchange for Declan Rice. But for now, West Ham is said to prioritize Kalvin Phillips.
