Man Utd made a transfer mistake worth £ 50 million

According to Sky Sports, the Old Trafford team has missed out on one of the rising talents in the Premier League.

Evan Ferguson has been explosive this season and has scored 10 goals in all competitions for Brighton at the age of 18.

Ferguson has the decisiveness, the ability to finish and the composure, thereby being compared to England captain Harry Kane.

Ferguson’s development this season has been so rapid that United are said to be interested in signing the player this summer.

Wrong deal of Man Utd.

But Ferguson has just renewed his contract with Brighton and wants to stay at the club so as not to hinder his own development. Brighton believes Ferguson can hit the £100m mark in the near future.

According to Sky Sports, Man Utd gradually regretted this deal. Ferguson came to Old Trafford on trial at the age of 16 but was deemed not good enough. Less than 12 months later, Ferguson quickly signed for Brighton.

Sky Sports added that United’s academy director Nick Cox admitted it was a ‘£50m mistake’ and it could cost United twice that amount in the future.
