According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners can soon successfully recruit Declan Rice as soon as this year’s season ends.
Sources claim Declan Rice remains Arsenal ‘s top priority target in the summer transfer window. But West Ham United are now asking for a price tag of up to £100m , which could prove to be a major setback.
After West Ham’s win over Man Utd, coach David Moyes affirmed: “Once again, Rice has been excellent. I’m not surprised, he has a great talent in winning the ball back.
And that’s why Rice is probably the best English midfielder right now, and that’s why he’s going to be extremely expensive if any team asks for it.”
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners are confident of getting Rice’s signature in the summer transfer window. Recent reports suggest Arsenal are set to make a £92m bid to West Ham.
The Daily Mail reports Arsenal will open talks with West Ham, while confirming that the Gunners are willing to break their transfer record and salary structure to secure the signing of Rice.
But that negotiation will be delayed until West Ham’s season is over. With Weightlifting reaching the Europa Conference League final, that means Arsenal have to wait until June 7.
However, it is only a matter of time until Arsenal really get the person they need.
