Ibrahima Konate says he hopes Liverpool can finalize a deal to sign Khephren Thuram this summer.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are planning a squad upgrade in the summer of 2023, having signed Alexis Mac Allister in a £35m deal from Brighton last week. Coach Klopp wants to strengthen the midfield with another quality name.
Liverpool are currently negotiating a deal for Khephren Thuram, son of World Cup winner Lilian Thuram and younger brother of Marcus Thuram. The midfielder played explosively in the Nice shirt last season. He possesses a strong physical foundation and good judgment.

Ibrahima Konate says he hopes Liverpool can finalize a deal to sign Khephren Thuram this summer. In a quick yes or no interview with Telefoot, Konate was asked if Thuram would play for Liverpool next season, to which the defender replied: “Yes, I hope so. I will be very happy if Thuram comes to Liverpool and I will do everything to help him integrate as quickly as possible.”
“Khephren is like my little brother, he’s someone I met growing up. I was with his brother (Marcus) in the training center, but I watched him grow up. Khephren has made incredible progress lately.”
“When I first met him, I was surprised. I’m really surprised by Khephren’s individual technique and mindset, he will definitely improve even more. He can become the future of the French team.”
