HOT! Liverpool’s turn to withdraw from the Jude Bellingham deal

According to the Guardian, Liverpool is the latest team to abandon the recruitment of midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Sources claim Liverpool have decided  not to pursue a deal for Jude Bellingham  this summer. The reason is that spending an insane amount of money to sign the England international will limit coach Jurgen Klopp’s plans to overhaul the squad.

Bellingham has been Liverpool’s “top transfer target” for more than a year. However, the price is too high, Dortmund may refuse to sell, plus the number of positions that need to be cleared after a disappointing season that led to The Kop pulling out of the race.

The Kop abandoned Bellingham.

In addition to Liverpool, Real Madrid,  Manchester City, Paris Saint‑Germain, Chelsea, Man Utd or Arsenal are also among the clubs interested in  Bellingham. However, it is reported that Arsenal and Real are the first two teams to soon withdraw from this deal.

Dortmund are said to want around £135m plus additional terms in case they decide to sell Bellingham this summer.  Bellingham’s value increased significantly after an impressive performance at the 2022 World Cup.

The decision to pull out of the Bellingham race will make Liverpool fans unhappy but Klopp admits:  “Whatever we do next year will never be enough from everyone’s point of view, but with shopping Smart, we will improve the situation, that’s for sure.”
