Reporter Fabrizio Romano said that as soon as Arsenal complete the Declan Rice deal, they will try to recruit defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax.
After many efforts, Arsenal considered to have signed Declan Rice. On his personal Twitter, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed this.

However, Arsenal does not stop its ambition here. Immediately after signing a record £105 million , Arsenal will strive to bring in a third rookie named Jurrien Timber.
“Arsenal are planning to have a medical this week with Declan Rice, after reaching a final agreement with West Ham tonight,” Romano said .
“The Gunners are now expected to give the green light to Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen, and then close the Jurrien Timber deal,” Romano added.
Earlier, the Italian journalist also said that Timber just wanted to come to England to play for Arsenal and he showed interest in the Gunners’ project. The Ajax side also agreed a transfer fee of £ 40 million upfront and £ 5 million in surcharges, after rejecting the first offer of the British representative.
If all these signatures are completed, Arsenal will have spent more than 200 million pounds when the summer transfer window has passed in the first weeks.
