Athletic midfielder Ander Herrera has given an insight into his time at Paris Saint-Germain.
Herrera left the Ligue 1 champions last summer to return to Spain. According to him, Messi loves to stand in the PSG dressing room and is given the utmost respect.
Although Messi has had a tumultuous relationship with the club’s fans, Herrera insists it’s different behind the scenes.
The former Man United star told ESPN: “I had a great time in Paris. It was fun. I met a lot with Leo Paredes, with Angel Di Maria, with Leo Messi – also because of my partners. We get along really well and we see each other a lot, we eat, we laugh.”

“Neymar is also a super fun boy, and Marco [Verratti] – there’s no one in the world who badmouths him as a footballer as well as a guy.”
“There is tremendous respect for Leo. He gets everyone’s respect because Leo is a different form, he is unique in history , a guy with 7 Ballon d’Or. The way he lived. The treatment, the respect he has with everyone at the club, is insane.”
