Fabregas points out Chelsea’s deplorable mistake

Sharing with The Athletic, the former Blues star analyzed the ups and downs of the London team.

Chelsea went through a crazy 2022/2023 season . The London team spent £ 600 million on the transfer market, 4 strategists sat in the hot seat, 19 new recruits arrived at Stamford Bridge. However, the results were not as expected.

Chelsea finished in 12th place on the Premier League table, not winning tickets to the European Cup next season. Many fans said that the Blues went through a period of panic during the reign of new owner Todd Boehly.

According to former Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas, the London team was wrong to rush to fire Graham Potter Sharing with The Athletic, Fabregas made his point:

Chelsea had a panic season.

“I know that many top teams panic very quickly. Chelsea is a case in point. They finished eighth and the panic started to see the Blues drop to 12th. The change was hasty. Gold doesn’t always make you better.”

” Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. I trust Graham Potter. They gave him a five-year contract. Chelsea needed to give Potter more time . Some other clubs succeeded. while being patient with your decisions.”
