Chelsea finished in 12th place on the Premier League table, not winning tickets to the European Cup next season. Many fans said that the Blues went through a period of panic during the reign of new owner Todd Boehly.
According to former Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas, the London team was wrong to rush to fire Graham Potter . Sharing with The Athletic, Fabregas made his point:
“I know that many top teams panic very quickly. Chelsea is a case in point. They finished eighth and the panic started to see the Blues drop to 12th. The change was hasty. Gold doesn’t always make you better.”
