When asked about the welcome he received from fans and former national team-mates, Hazard told RTBF: ” It makes me happy. The warm welcome shows how much I have accomplished for the national team. The team was unable to get the win. It’s frustrating, I want to help my former teammates but unfortunately, I can’t.”

When asked about the next step in his career, Hazard replied: “Honestly, I still don’t know. After 3 complicated years, I just want to spend time with my family, go on vacation, like everyone else. I’ve read a lot of things over the last few days, and it’s all incorrect.”

“We will see in the next few days. I still feel like I have the potential to be a professional footballer. I still have some energy left.”
