In round 26 La Liga 2022/23, Real Madrid lost 1-2 to Barca at Camp Nou. This loss makes Los Blancos like raising a white flag in the championship race.

Thibaut Courtois admits Real no longer has the opportunity to chase Barca in La Liga.

The Belgian goalkeeper shared:

“Chance to race for the championship? Yes, we have to be honest. We never give up, but the difference is four wins.

Nothing is impossible, but the situation is extremely difficult right now. We’ll have to win the King’s Cup to make up for it.

We played a good game today. They have a chance and so do we. It’s a pity, but we must not give up. There are 2 good months left. We still have goals this season.”

As Courtois shared, Real Madrid still has the opportunity to collect debt against Barca in the King’s Cup. In the semi-final first leg, Los Blancos lost 0-1.

In addition, Los Blancos still have the target in the Champions League. In the next quarter-finals, the Spanish royal team will face the charming opponent Chelsea.
