According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Arsenal have no intention of selling Emile Smith Rowe in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old midfielder is the Gunners’ second-highest scorer in 2021/22 with 11 goals in all competitions, but he has struggled to replicate his performances in recent seasons with Only 2 assists.

Smith Rowe underwent a groin surgery last September and his return has been delayed. He played just 195 minutes in 14 games for Arsenal. It has been widely reported that Smith Rowe may be on the Gunners’ liquidation list
Despite this, according to reputable reporter David Ornstein, coach Mikel Arteta continues to support this young player . The Spaniard believes that Smith Rowe can revive and regain confidence with an aggressive campaign into pre-season.
It will be interesting to see where Arteta places Smith Rowe on the upcoming tour. The England star may have to adapt to the central midfield position, to take on the No. 8 role as Granit Xhaka prepares to leave.
