According to exclusive sources from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, midfielder Mateo Kovacic has agreed personal terms with Man City . Negotiations between the two sides took place earlier.
On the Chelsea side, the London team is ready to let Kovacic leave if it receives a reasonable offer on the negotiating table. The current contract between the Croatian star and the Blues will expire in June 2024.
According to Romano, Kovacic’s transfer fee will be negotiated by Chelsea and Man City after the Champions League final. Besides the blue half of Manchester, many other teams have expressed their desire to have Kovacic’s service.
Man City is leading the race to recruit the 29-year-old midfielder. The Etihad Stadium team considers Kovacic as the perfect replacement if Ilkay Gundogan leaves. Kovacic promises to adapt quickly if he arrives at Etihad Stadium as he possesses seasoned battle experience in the Premier League.
” I have one year left on my contract with Chelsea . A really bad season. After five years with the Blues, I have to change the environment. The summer is long and we will see what happens in the future. ,” Kovacic shared.
