Chelsea surpassed MU in the £80 million star case

Chelsea remains the most likely destination for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has told GIVEMESPORT .

After an impressive season with Brighton and with a philosophy of buying young players to make a profit, Caicedo will be allowed to leave this summer.

Roberto De Zerbi admitted at the end of last season that Alexis Mac Allister and Caicedo could leave the Amex Stadium. Mac Allister has left to join Liverpool, and Caicedo is currently being targeted by Chelsea. Man United is also said to have the midfielder in sight, but has a rather tight budget.

Chelsea is a possible destination for Caicedo.

It has been reported that Brighton could ask for £100m for Caicedo, but CBS reporter Jacobs believes he could get a slightly cheaper price. Jacobs also claims that Chelsea are leading the race to sign Caicedo instead of Manchester United

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jacobs said: “Of course you would expect Brighton to try and get the best deal possible. But I understand that Caicedo will be closer to £80m than £100m and Chelsea , rather than Manchester United, which is still the most likely destination at this point .” .
