Former Liverpool and Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has called the Blues Man City’s biggest rivals in the Premier League next season.
Last season, Arsenal and Man City created a two-horse race to the English Premier League title. The Gunners had a moment of great advantage, but then lost their breath at the end of the season and had to give up the championship to the Blue Man.

Arsenal will certainly continue to upgrade the squad, thereby increasing competitiveness next season. However, former Liverpool and Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has called the Blues Man City’s biggest rivals in the Premier League next season. I said:
“Liverpool will improve next season but I believe there is a big gap between Man City and other teams. If there is a team that can chase and put pressure on Man City, I think it is Chelsea. They have a great squad after the last two expensive transfer windows.”
“Now that they have a good coach and a good squad, I believe they will show strong promotions. I don’t believe they will be good enough to beat Man City all the way, but I believe Chelsea will be their closest opponent.”
Glen Johnson’s comments surprised many people because Chelsea could not even finish in the top 10 teams this season. The Blues will also not have a ticket to the European Cup next season.
