Barca confirmed that they still owe Messi money

President Joan Laporta said Barca is gradually paying the missing salary of Messi during his time at Camp Nou.

Messi is still being paid by Barca gradually.

” Barcelona still owes Lionel Messi salary according to the agreement between him and the old management. The money Barcelona owes him will be paid gradually until 2025 ,” Barca’s current president, Joan Laporta confirmed.

Messi has left Barca since 2021. This means rookie Gundogan is not eligible to play next season. Similarly, the Catalan club reached an agreement to recruit Inigo Martinez from Atletico Madrid but is waiting for the financial situation to be resolved before it can be announced.
