A source from CAT Radio shared that Barcelona quickly found a new director of football after Mateu Alemany’s departure.
The upper class at Barcelona had just experienced a great upheaval. After the victory over Osasuna, the Blaugrana announced that Mateu Alemany would no longer serve as the club’s director of football.
The Nou Camp team quickly carried out a search for a replacement for Alemany and everything was likely to be prepared done. Specifically, a source from CAT Radio shared Barca decided to appoint the former Deco to fill Alemany’s position.
The former Portuguese star is a teammate of Xavi Hernandez and Lionel Messi under coach Frank Rijkaard. Deco has worked for Barça all the time as a scout for the Portuguese and Brazilian markets. He was an important factor in convincing Raphinha to join Barca this summer.

Joan Laporta signed Deco from Porto in the summer of 2004. After 19 years, Laporta continued to complete the Deco deal for the Catalan club.
Next time, it remains to be seen what the Blaugrana football organization chart looks like. A newcomer somewhat affects the smoothness of the whole machine.
