Arsenal have received bad news when midfielder William Saliba will miss the clash with Liverpool due to a back injury.
William Saliba suffered a back injury in Arsenal’s Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon, and was later forced to withdraw from France’s squad for two Euro 2024 qualifying matches against the Netherlands and Ireland.

The player born in 2001 then missed Arsenal’s match against Leeds, when asked about the player’s situation, coach Mikel Arteta revealed: “The back injury is a bit complicated and I cannot confirm anything. One thing I can say for sure is that Arsenal will do everything to get Saliba back as soon as possible, and he also wants to play again.”
According to ESPN, Arsenal hoped William Saliba could return for the match against Liverpool at Anfield, but that did not happen. According to the Daily Mail, Saliba will miss Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool next Sunday.
The defender is still struggling with a back injury. Saliba has been unable to train since having problems during the Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon. With not yet returning to training, the player is almost certainly absent against Liverpool.
Rob Holding took on the role of central defense in Saliba’s absence. The player born in 1995 has played quite well in recent matches, he combined well with Gabriel Magalhaes.
Arsenal are currently 8 points ahead of Man City but have played 1 more game. In addition, the Gunners also have a trip to the Etihad Stadium of the Blue Man at the end of this April.
