Via MUTV, coach Erik ten Hag updated Antony’s situation before the FA Cup final
Antony was carried out on a stretcher after just 29 minutes on the pitch in Man Utd ‘s 4-1 win over Chelsea. The Brazilian player fell after a seemingly dangerous tackle from Trevoh Chalobah.
In Man Utd’s final Premier League game of the season, Antony was seen at Old Trafford cheering on his team-mates. However, the former Ajax star had to use crutches, making Man Utd fans worried.
Even so, coach Eik Ten Hag admitted that he feared the worst at first, but medical tests revealed that the injury may not be as bad as initially feared.
Speaking ahead of the 2-1 win over Fulham on the evening of May 28, Ten Hag told MUTV: ” We’ve all seen how he’s carried off the pitch and he doesn’t look good.
But the initial assessment of the injury is not too bad and he has a good chance of being in the FA Cup final next week.”
Thus, it is likely that Man Utd will have the best force to confront Man City.
