Via Daily Star, former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf believes Alexis Mac Allister is the perfect fit for Liverpool.
Mac Allister has been allowed to undergo a medical with Liverpool after the Anfield team agreed to pay a fee of around £45 million for Brighton.
The World Cup winner is expected to complete his move to Jurgen Klopp ‘s side this week. And Frank Leboeuf – who won five major trophies for Chelsea in the ’90s – believes it’s a great deal.
“They need Mac Allister,” Leboeuf said. “They struggled in midfield and he’s a perfect fit.
Mac Allister is a very good player. He knows what you need from a midfielder. Mac Allister knows how to defend, how to win the ball back, how to serve attacking players and how to go forward to score goals.
For Liverpool, Mac Allister is the image of what the club needs and the image of the club a few years ago, when they made rapid and effective strides. It’s the perfect fit.”
Mac Allister will become The Kop’s first signing in the upcoming busy summer. They can bring in at least one more midfielder like Manu Kone, Khephren Thuram, Romeo Lavia, Matheus Nunes or Ryan Gravenberch.
